My skin wasn't very acne prone to begin with, but whenever I had a few acne spots that would go away, there would be a few more that would appear in a different area of my face. I no longer have this problem, and I would have to say my clearer skin is a result from eating healthier. The journey to clear skin starts from within, and it really correlates to what you eat. However, it's important to make sure you're keeping your skin clean as well.
For my morning skincare routine, I splash my face with cold water, and cleanse it with Willa Naturals Start Fresh Foaming Facial Wash. I love this cleanser as it is gentle, and never irritates my skin. It also has many natural ingredients, and has no fragrance, which is awesome! I usually get this from my local Target, but sadly they don't carry this brand anymore in stores. I'll have to find another natural cleanser to use, and I've been wanting to try one from Alba Botanica!
After cleansing my face, I then moisturize it using Everyone Coconut Lemon Lotion. It smells so good, and it effectively moisturizes my skin. I also love how this product is natural, and it contains pure essential oils and no artificial fragrances (or any other chemicals I know of such as parabens, phthalates, etc.). The best part is it can be used for face, hands, and body!
After moisturizing my face, I then use the Alba Botanica Even Advanced CC cream that contains SPF 15. I've been using this since July or August, and my skin has actually evened out. I used to have quite a few dark spots from my blemishes, but now they're gone. Here's a link to the CC cream: http://www.albabotanica.com/face/moisturizers/adv-cc-cream-ltm.html
At the end of the day, I cleanse my face again. Twice a week, I exfoliate my face using a DIY scrub. I make the scrub just by mixing some coconut oil and organic raw sugar together - my skin always feels so soft afterwards.
Instead of using lotion to moisturize my face, I use coconut oil. It never fails to make my skin feel hydrated.
That's all for my skincare routine. I guess you could say it's pretty simple, but it's also very effective. My skin is much better than it used to be. So, what is your skincare routine?
